Kid Yugi, the breakthrough rapper of 2023, announces a concert in Caserta at the festival A Summer at BelvedeRE. On Saturday, July 6, 2024, he will perform at the Belvedere of San Leucio, as part of the IX edition of the festival directed by Massimo Vecchione.
"The Names of the Devil", his new record released on March 1, was the world's most listened to album on Spotify in the first three days after its release (Top Albums Debut Global Chart). A great success that confirms the rise of the young artist from Apulia who has already won four gold and one platinum record, with his debut album.
The tickets for Kid Yugi's anticipated live performance in Caserta, organized by Lwr S.r.l. and Chiumma Events, are already available on the official Ticketone and Go2 circuits.
Kid Yugi, pseudonym of Francesco Stasi, is a rapper born in 2001, among the leading names of the new Italian scene. Born and raised in Massafra, in the province of Taranto, he started rapping in early adolescence but it was only in February 2022 that he released his first single "Grammelot" on Spotify. Two months later, he began working with Underdog Music and Thaurus Music releasing the singles "Sturm Und Drag", "Kabuki", "King Lear" and "DEM" in collaboration with Tony Boy and Artie 5ive which preceded the release of The Globe, his first official album.
The year 2023 marks a turning point: in May he releases the EP "Quarto di bue" in collaboration with the producer The Night Skinny, which enjoys great success in the Italian urban scene. But it is the collaboration in the album "The Divine Comedy" by Tedua that showcases Kid Yugi's crystal clear talent to all of Italy. Later, he collaborates in "Only Child" with Irama, Rkomi, and Ernia and in the autumn also collaborates with Noyz Narcos and Salmo in the album "CVLT".
In January of this year, he released "Paganini", the first extract from his new official record, The Names of the Devil. The album debuted at the top of the weekly album chart and in the chart of the most sold CDs-vinyls-cassettes in Italy, according to Fimi/Gfk surveys. A new milestone for the young rapper from Taranto with this new record project, inspired by William Golding's Lord of the Flies, featuring collaborations with Sfera Ebbasta, Geolier, Tedua, Ernia, Tony Boy, Artie 5ive, Papa V, Noyz Narcos, and Simba La Rue.
Kid Yugi's concert in Caserta adds to this year's lineup of "A Summer at BelvedeRE 2024" which will take place in two venues, both declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In addition to the classic location of the Belvedere of San Leucio, there will also be events in Piazza Carlo di Borbone, in the suggestive setting of the Royal Palace of Caserta. Already announced are Giovanni Allevi (June 13), Nayt (June 18), Paolo Crepet in "Take the Moon" (June 27), PFM (July 4), Tony Hadley (July 11), Inti-Illimani and Giulio Wilson (July 18), Eduardo De Crescenzo (July 19), Fulminacci (July 20), Nick Mason (July 23) and Elio e le Storie Tese (July 24), for Belvedere Session. While Gigi D’Alessio (September 6, 7, 8, 14, and 15), Il Volo (September 9) and Antonello Venditti (September 10) will be the stars of Reggia Session.
