Knowledge and Wisdom: Catalysts for Solidarity

Knowledge and wisdom can be powerful catalysts for solidarity, enabling people to better understand the realities of others, to empathize with them, and to act in an informed and collaborative manner to promote the common good. It is from this belief that the Rotary Club Napoli Est has organized an event for the upcoming March 26th with the emblematic title "Knowledge and Wisdom". The convivial meeting with spouses, which will be hosted from 8 PM at the Grand Hotel Vesuvio (via Partenope 45, Naples), aims to "illuminate the transformative power of education and solidarity" in our social fabric. The event will feature a distinguished guest as the main speaker: the rector of the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, Gianfranco Nicoletti. Former General Secretary of the CRUI (Conference of Italian University Rectors), Nicoletti has been leading the Campanian university since 2020, and in complex years like the ones just passed, he has distinguished himself for an approach strongly oriented towards innovation and improvement, not only in terms of research and teaching but also in strengthening the link between university and territory, without neglecting the importance of research as a driver of cultural growth and the commitment to greater environmental sustainability, health protection, and the promotion of access to education and active citizenship. With him, in addition to the promoter of the initiative, president of the Rotary Club Napoli Est and coordinator of the Partenopean group Angelo Coviello, there will be the presidents of the other Rotary clubs involved in the evening: Paolo Manieri (Napoli Chiaja), Umberto Patroni Griffi (Napoli Parthenope), Marcello Picone (Napoli Castel Sant'Elmo), Peppe Ventrella (Napoli Sud Ovest). Greetings from the governor of the Rotary District 2101 Ugo Oliviero are expected.
