Landslide in Starza Tunnel to Be Cleared by April 14

The landslide in the Starza railway tunnel of Ariano Irpino will be removed by April 14. This was confirmed by the Undersecretary for Infrastructure Tullio Ferrante, who conducted a site visit this morning with the mayor of Ariano Irpino, Enrico Franza. The two-kilometer tunnel is located on the Naples-Bari route: the landslide has split the North-South rail connections in two. The undersecretary announced that the workforce will increase from 50 to 70 people. Currently, between Foggia and Benevento, travel is by shuttle.
