Large-scale Police Operation Against Mazzarella Clan and Criminal Families in Naples

From the early hours of dawn, the State Police is conducting a vast judicial police activity against the leaders and affiliates of the Mazzarella clan and the criminal families Buonerba and Cardarelli in the districts of Forcella and Case Nuove. The men of the Mobile Squad and the Poggioreale and Vicaria-Mercato police stations have executed a precautionary measure against 13 individuals accused, in various capacities, of attempted extortion and personal injuries aggravated by the mafia method. Among the arrested is also the brother of one of the killers of Emanuele Sibillo, the young boss at the head of the children's gang, killed in an ambush on July 2, 2015, at the age of 20.
