Late Night Drug Bust in Torre Annunziata Leads to Arrests

In the late evening of yesterday, officers from the Torre Annunziata police station, during their patrol, noticed two young individuals on a scooter in Via Vittorio Veneto. The driver accelerated to evade them upon seeing the officers. A brief chase ensued during which the driver threw something onto the road, but the officers caught up and stopped him, finding him in possession of 5 packets of marijuana weighing about 6 grams, and also recovered the package thrown earlier by the suspect, containing about one gram of cocaine. Furthermore, believing there could be more evidence related to the case, the officers extended their search to his home, where their investigative intuition was confirmed as they found a precision scale and various drug packaging materials. From the activities carried out, the police ascertained that the individual was responsible for delivering the narcotics, which were managed by another person. After identifying this other individual, the officers conducted a search at his apartment, where they found 2 packets of cocaine, a block of hashish weighing about 100 grams, another package containing a 'cutting' substance weighing 10 grams, a precision scale, and 780 euros. Moreover, during the search, the officers caught a woman, cohabiting with the suspect, who unsuccessfully attempted to dispose of a cardboard box in the bathroom, containing 3 containers of marijuana weighing about 41 grams in total, another 7 packets containing about 9 grams of the same substance, and 2 packets of hashish weighing about 5 grams. For these reasons, the suspects, a 24-year-old and a 25-year-old, both from Boscoreale, the latter with a police record, including specific offenses, were arrested for illegal possession of narcotics, while the woman was reported for the same crime. Additionally, the 25-year-old was also charged with 3 violations of the Road Traffic Act, and the scooter they were traveling on was seized.
