Local Councilor Criticizes Mayor's Electoral Campaign Conduct

The municipal councilor of Airola, Gennaro Falzarano, criticizes the recent statements of Mayor Vincenzo Falzarano regarding the candidacy of Fulvio Martusciello. "Speaking as a mayor," he explains, "is equivalent to making a commitment in the name and on behalf of the entire community, every citizen of Airola, as well as every member of the municipal council. I do not dispute Falzarano's political choice, which is absolutely free but personal. Instead, I contest the confusion of electoral propaganda with institutional communication." Addressing the mayor, he adds: "I ask if sobriety and institutional courtesy are still considered values upon which his person and his administrative action are founded. I remember that it was precisely the courtesy and balance that led me, in 2022, to personally support his candidacy for mayor." And he adds: "No one disputes Vincenzo Falzarano's right to campaign, but doing so through his role is not politically acceptable. I would like to remind that Martusciello, to understand the problems of Airola and the Sannio territory, always had as his only point of reference the late senator Mino Izzo, and this until just over a year ago, when the well-known member of Forza Italia passed away."
