Lorenzo Insigne Reflects on His Last Match and Dries Mertens Possible Retirement

"I will never forget my last game, against Genoa. I did not expect to receive that welcome and so much warmth from the fans". "It makes me sad to think that Mertens could retire. He is an extraordinary player and with him I had wonderful moments" Insigne explained. "He is honest and when you get to this age you might feel quite young but your body tells you otherwise. Things are different when you are 36 and it's a different game in terms of athleticism. I am 32 years old and I don't want to think about it. It just gives me anxiety to think about it because this is all I have ever done. I want to last another four or five years, as long as I have fun. But you have to listen to what your body tells you and understand when it might be the right time to quit".
