“Luna,” the gastronomic restaurant of Villa Magia in Positano, the boutique hotel owned by the Vespoli family, reopens. With its historic terrace, wide open to the sea and the village of Positano, Luna is the exclusive address on the Amalfi Coast where you can enjoy authentic Mediterranean cuisine in a context of rare beauty.
Chef Enzo Licciardi from Benevento moves between tradition and creativity, simplicity and wonder. His dishes are fragrant with citrus, local essences, and the sea. The À La Carte Menu is renewed monthly and features local seafood as well as meats and cheeses from Campania: there are fried Octopus served with couscous, red beetroot, and provola from Agerola; raw Red Prawn paired with pan brioche, burrata, and citrus; smoked Amberjack flavored with red onions, peas, yogurt, and crumble. The first courses are traditional: squid ink ravioli with sea bass, shrimp, smoked scampi, and peas; Gragnano spaghettone served with lobster and basil from Villa Magia’s garden.
There are three Tasting Menus: the “Simona” land menu, the “Luca” sea menu, and the “Enzo Fa’ tu” menu which brings to the table five of the chef's courses made freestyle. The story of the dishes is entrusted to maître Arcangelo Mormile who has been working alongside the Vespoli family for over thirty years, he is the one who graciously welcomes guests to the restaurant, sharing dishes and anecdotes of the historic villa. The Luna Cellar is entrusted to sommelier Salvatore Apuzzo, about 250 labels among the best Italian and French wines wisely paired with the chef's dishes.
Luna is open every evening also to non-residents of the hotel. Dinner is served on the historic terrace, suspended between sky and sea, where it is possible to admire the entire bay of Positano, the characteristic cluster-like houses and the vertical streets of the small village that slope down to the beach. Few and reserved tables, soft lights, impeccable service, and the breathtaking view of the blue sea stretch make this address an exclusive place to live a memorable sensory experience.
