Man Arrested After Fleeing from Police and Assaulting Officers

The 46-year-old, originally from Qualiano and residing in Sessa Aurunca, was hooded and driving a Toyota Yaris when he failed to stop at the halt imposed by the Carabinieri of the Sessa Aurunca mobile radio station during the night. The man, who was traveling along Viale Risorgimento, instead of stopping at the invitation of the military, stepped on the accelerator and fled. Chased for over 12 kilometers, he was reached and stopped in the neighboring municipality of Minturno, in the province of Latina. During the control phases, the man hit the Carabinieri with kicks and punches. Restrained, he was arrested and placed under house arrest at his own home, awaiting direct trial.
