Man Arrested for Attempted Car Burglary

Last evening, officers from the Vicaria-Mercato police station, during their territorial control duties, noticed a man tampering with a parked car on Carriera Grande street. Upon seeing them, the man attempted unsuccessfully to flee. The police officers caught and detained the suspect, who was found in possession of a screwdriver and several burglary tools; moreover, the officers confirmed that the car's door lock had been forced and the car radio had been partially removed. Therefore, the suspect, a 38-year-old Moroccan with a criminal record, including specific offenses, was arrested for attempted aggravated theft.
