Yesterday afternoon, officers from the General Prevention Office, the Ponticelli and Poggioreale Police Stations, the Mobile Squad, and the Uopi (Operational Units for Immediate Intervention), following a note received by the local Operational Room, intervened in Via Flauto Magico due to a report of a man who had fired gunshots from the window of his own home.
The police, arriving promptly on the scene, immediately cordoned off the area and, after securing the people present, began a mediation activity with the man in order to make him desist from the criminal action he was carrying out.
In those moments, the Uopi operators entered the building where, a few moments later, they surprised the suspect who, with a gun in his hand, first headed in their direction and then got rid of the weapon in a vase, but with some difficulty, he was stopped; furthermore, the officers recovered the weapon, which turned out to be a .38 special caliber revolver with two shells and three unexploded cartridges.
Furthermore, the officers checked his home where they found two shells and another 13 cartridges of the same caliber.
