The Carabinieri of the Company of Cerreto Sannita and the station of Telese Terme, have arrested a forty-six-year-old local man for stalking his ex-girlfriend. The victim, a forty-five-year-old resident in Telesina valley, fearing for her safety, decided to turn to the Carabinieri, reporting the continuous physical and psychological violence and stalking suffered from the man for several months. The military, alarmed by the woman's story and noting her vulnerability, decided to escort her home, which allowed them to intercept and stop the stalker during yet another stalking attempt.
After completing the formalities, the man was therefore arrested and placed under house arrest. Once again, as stressed in a note from the Force, it is essential to reiterate that victims must immediately report the perpetrators of the violence they suffer, turning with confidence to the Carabinieri commands. The arrested man, meanwhile, is currently under investigation and therefore presumed innocent until final judgment.
