Maradona's Jersey for Lucio Dalla to be Auctioned in Bologna

The jersey that Diego Armando Maradona gave to his friend Lucio Dalla on April 22, 1990, after the victory over the rossoblù (4-2) that brought Napoli closer to its second scudetto in history, will be auctioned in Bologna on May 18. It is one of the relics belonging to the artist, who passed away on March 1 fourteen years ago, and included in the catalog of the Giusti auction house. The jersey is the one used at that time in training by the Argentine national team, of which Diego was the captain, and was displayed a year ago at the Mann, the archaeological museum of Naples, on the occasion of the exhibition dedicated to the singer, a great friend of the city. Maradona wrote on the blue jersey “To my eternal master Lucio Dalas with love Diego”. Dalas, not Dalla. The base price is 40,000 euros. Nothing compared to the 8 million euros paid by an emir from Qatar for the number 10 jersey worn by Maradona in the historic match against England at the '86 World Cup, auctioned by one of his opponents, the former midfielder Hodge. The auction will take place in Bologna on May 18 in a luxurious hotel in the center, curiously the one where Diego and his teammates stayed before playing the match on April 22, '90 against Bologna.
