The artistic tour of the 'singer-actor' Massimo Masiello continues, thanks to the project conceived and produced by Francesco Scarano, from Thursday 22 February to Saturday 24 February at 9:00 p.m. and Sunday 25 February at 6:00 p.m. he will be on stage at the Teatro Acacia with the musical show 'Palcoscenico'.
A work written and directed by Gianni Conte that, with the same title of the newly released album dedicated to the best Italian evergreen covers, will also focus on the musical direction and arrangements of Lino Pariota and the choreographies of Roberto D'Urso. 'We appreciated Massimo very much in his latest works and when the idea of making a record and a theatre-song show took shape, I immediately thought he was the right person. A person with whom to embark on this journey, capable of embracing collective memory and caressing the most intimate memories kept in the heart of the audience.'
Massimo, proving to be an actor and singer of exceptional quality, will sing those songs that have been the soundtrack to the political, economic, and social events, with ups and downs, of our country from the 60s to the 90s and that have become the pillars of Italian musical culture. We hope that people, sitting in the armchair, will distance themselves for a few hours from the thoughts and worries of everyday reality. Maybe, the show will have the privilege of recalling some happy event lived: the afternoons after school, the first kiss, the birth of a child, a professional joy. However, don't think it is aimed exclusively at older people.
Our project is also born to educate the younger generations, today oriented towards alternative musical trends. We do not pretend that they love songs from forty, thirty or twenty years ago, but at least that they know them and understand from which historical contexts and from which feelings successful songwriters have drawn inspiration. 'In this show - said the author and director Gianni Conte - the songs are the real protagonists...those that, for one reason or another, have never been uprooted from collective memory. The audience might, therefore, also feel the irresistible urge to sing them along with the Artist...yes, also because they do not only take on the role of 'listeners', but become an integral part of the story in which they will find themselves immersed'.
'Palcoscenico', on the wings of emotions and notes, proposes a musical and poetic itinerary capable of tracing the social history of Italy over the last 60 years. Thanks to the show, all those songs that have been the soundtrack to the political, economic and social events of our country from the 60s to the 90s and that have become the pillars of Italian musical culture are making a comeback. For the audience, an itinerant show full of imagination capable of bringing back dormant emotions and distant memories.
Focusing on the versatility of a unique and complete artist like Massimo Masiello, 'Palcoscenico' has all the credentials to represent Italy in the sign of songs that have become real pieces of history. From Adamo's songs to those of Renato Zero and from Gino Paoli to Pino Daniele and from Lucio Dalla to Claudio Baglioni, passing through the famous Saturday night TV jingles of Carrà and Parisi, the concert-show that does not forget even the historical Carosello and the cult cartoons, manages to revive the features of a timeless world made of love, feelings and poetry.
