A hellfire broke out in Venticano, in the Capo Ceraso district, due to a fire that affected a shed of a local farm, which housed agricultural machinery, various equipment and about three hundred bales of straw and hay. The team from the Grottaminarda detachment and one from the central headquarters in Avellino, supported by two tanker trucks, were on the spot. The extinguishing operations were long and delicate.
The task was complicated also to prevent the flames from spreading to the nearby stable with several dozens of cattle and to the house not far from the structure. In the evening, the intervention of a mechanical vehicle, again from the central headquarters in Avellino, was also necessary to complete the extinguishing work and secure the structure. Two patrols of the carabinieri intervened on the spot, one from Montefalcione and one from Venticano for the surveys of their own competence.
