Massive Law Enforcement Operation in Naples: Arrests and Seizures

Yesterday afternoon, officers from the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station, military personnel from the Carabinieri, operators from the Guardia di Finanza, with the support of ASL Napoli 1 Centro and in collaboration with the Campania crime prevention unit, the mobile unit of Naples, and agents from the railway police division, carried out an extraordinary territorial control service at Piazza Garibaldi, Piazza Mancini, Via Poerio, Via Marvasi, and Porta Nolana. During the operation, 231 individuals were identified, with one reported for illegal entry and stay in the country and 5 administratively sanctioned for possession of drugs for personal use, 38 vehicles were checked, and 15 violations of the Highway Code were contested, imposing fines totaling 12,996 euros. Furthermore, during the service, the operators checked 12 commercial activities, issuing 3 administrative sanctions for a total of 5,000 euros and seizing 23kg of foodstuffs lacking traceability and 2 kg of foreign manufactured tobacco without the State Monopoly brand. During the operations, a minor foreigner wandering alone on the street was also found; after identification procedures, the minor was entrusted to social workers for placement in a suitable facility.
