Meta's Evolution: Embracing Snapchat's Approach with New Features

Meta is evolving and has no intention of stopping. After experimenting with artificial intelligence, the launch of Threads in an attempt to compete with Elon Musk's giant X, and the continuous improvement of the usability of social networks to make them easy and fast for everyone, Meta is developing new features for its platforms that are bringing it closer and closer to the approach taken by Snapchat a few years ago. A spokesperson for Meta told the specialized magazine TechCrunch about the new features that will be acquired by Instagram, which will include the creation of a 'Friend Map' inspired by the 'Snap Map' already experimented with by Snapchat. Users will be able to choose to share their location with all their followers or only with their closest friends, also foreseeing a 'Ghost' mode that would help to hide their location. According to the spokesperson for Meta, the new feature, following the Google Maps model, will also provide information about the places where users are located or share with their audience.
