Milan sings and talks about Pino Daniele, with the presentation of the book “Pino Daniele, Marginal Notes” by Gennaro Di Biase and the awarding of the talented and rising young singer-guitarist Alessandra Tumolillo.
The memory of the unforgettable artist who died in 2015 lands in the center of the Lombard capital, for the Easter celebration of Palm Sunday, which coincided with the celebration of Pino Daniele Day (the birthday of Pinotto, born on March 19th, '55). The evening yesterday at the Calipso Fish Bar was organized by the cultural association I Cavalieri della Tavola Campana, which has been promoting Neapolitan culture in symbiosis with Lombard culture for decades.
Many were the highlights of the evening on the Partenope-Milan axis: dialogues on the philosophy of Neapolitan-ness, through the 12 comments on Pino's texts contained in the book by the journalist-writer Di Biase, (published by Giannini Editore). And, immediately after, the recognition for the 23-year-old Alessandra Tumolillo, who received - from the former president of the association Antonio Baldo - a plaque as “Testimonial of the Neapolitan Song of Author”. The young singer recently moved the general public with the musical performance of “Si T'o Sapesse Dicere”, the text of a poem by the great Eduardo De Filippo that opens the new film by Giovanni Veronesi, “Romeo & Juliet”.
