Minor Stabbed in Head and Back After Bar Fight in Maddaloni

After a fight over trivial reasons outside a bar, a minor was stabbed, injuring him in the head and back. The incident occurred in Maddaloni on the night between July 20 and 21 last year. Another minor, 17 years old, was arrested for this incident by the State Police executing a precautionary custody order issued for attempted murder by the juvenile court judge of Naples, who ordered his placement in the Penal Institute for Minors of Nisida. The 17-year-old, a resident of Maddaloni and son of a local organized crime figure, with numerous previous convictions for crimes against persons, had been hit by the so-called "Urban Daspo" issued by the Police Chief of Caserta last January, which prevented him from accessing high-traffic urban areas. Meanwhile, investigations directed by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Juvenile Court of Naples and conducted by the Mobile Squad of Caserta, have identified him as responsible for the wounding, thanks to the cross-examination of testimonies collected at the scene, surveillance camera footage, and telephone and electronic data. The stabbing occurred after a fight during which the aggressor had threatened the other boy, also 17, with a knife; the victim then walked away with friends but was caught up by the peer, who hit him in the back and head. The injured was taken to the hospital in Caserta in critical condition, but survived.
