Modernization of the Cumana Line Continues

Work continues for the modernization of the Cumana line. Currently, the activation of all the equipment (armament, signaling, and electric traction) of the Pozzuoli/Arco Felice section (in the Naples area) aimed at completing the doubling Pozzuoli/Torregaveta that will allow the railway operation with greater frequency and in full safety is being completed. The train will thus be able to travel underground the Gerolomini new station of Pozzuoli (Villa Maria underway) through the new Pozzuoli tunnel (about 1300 meters) on a double track and then continue in the Cicerone tunnel (about 400 meters) up to the Arco Felice station. The technologies that constitute the equipment are of the latest generation and allow the vectorization of rail traffic with the Scmt system at high standards of safety and control.
