Do… Re… Mi is the musical immersion journey that the Teatro San Carlo offers to very young listeners. There are three appointments, at the Salone degli Specchi, one Sunday a month: April 14th, May 12th, and June 9th at 10:30 AM.
At each meeting, aimed at children aged 0 to 6 years and their parents, listening sessions from the classical repertoire will be proposed, with brief forays into folk, ethnic, and jazz music. The instrumental ensemble is composed of Stefano Bartoli (clarinet), Francesca Bonazzoli (horn), Alida Dell’Acqua (cello), Franco Cardaropoli (percussion), Elèna Vallebona (harp), and Francesco Ruoppolo (Conductor).
A special feature of these performances will be the reduction of the distance between the stage and the audience. The musicians will perform close to the listeners, even moving among them, allowing for a complete multisensory experience. The little ones will be comfortably seated with their adults on mats and cushions, or free to move in a protected space and experience music with their bodies, following their natural inclination for active listening: thus, they will be pleasantly immersed in a multitude of sound and musical stimuli.
The presence of a parent will be crucial to experience not only a playful and educational moment but also and above all, an emotionally complete one, that replicates the ideal serenity of the family environment and strengthens the emotional bond between adult and child. The concert will be interactive for the children and their companions, with spontaneous musical workshop proposals on some pieces, alternating with moments of pure listening.
The conductor will promote audience participation through, for example, the melodic or rhythmic accompaniment of an ostinato (with body percussion, Orff instruments, and extramusical material), also accommodating the spontaneous musical responses of the children, thus making them an active and involved part of the show.
At the Teatro San Carlo ticket office, it is possible to purchase a 2-entry card, for one child and one adult, at the cost of 18 euros and add to this a single entry, at the cost of 5 euros for a child and 7 euros for an adult.
