Naples Area Drug Ring Busted: Three Arrested

On behalf of the Naples prosecutor, the Carabinieri of the Benevento Company executed a precautionary custody order in prison, issued by the Naples GIP at the request of the Prosecutor's Office at the Neapolitan court, against three individuals from the Naples hinterland, heavily suspected of illegal possession of heroin, cocaine, and hashish, aimed at drug dealing activities. The investigation originated from a surveillance and tailing service carried out in September 2021 by the military of the operational section of the capital, identifying a garage in the city center, available to a 45-year-old local, used as a base for drug dealing. A couple was then checked, who, after leaving the garage, was moving away in a car with some doses of heroin. Following phone tapping, tailing services, searches, witness questioning, and drug seizures, the Carabinieri then detected serious clues regarding a frantic activity of drug distribution that led, already in April 2023, to the precautionary custody order, issued at the request of the Benevento Prosecutor's Office by the GIP of the Sannio capital's court, against the 45-year-old for illegal possession of narcotics. Furthermore, three individuals from Naples, dedicated to the trafficking mainly of cocaine and heroin, were identified. Thus, the contacts of the three arrested with a now loyal clientele were reconstructed, managing to reconstruct their modus operandi through several episodes of heavy drug distribution to numerous buyers, coming from the provinces of Benevento, Avellino but also from Naples and Caserta. The measure just executed - against which appeals are admitted - was ordered during the preliminary investigation phase, and the recipients are under investigation and therefore presumed innocent until a final sentence.
