Naples Drug Bust: Couple Arrested for Cocaine Possession and Distribution

Yesterday afternoon, officers from the San Carlo-Arena Police Station, while patrolling the area, noticed a couple on a scooter in Via Porzio. The passenger handed something to a man by the roadside in exchange for money; the latter then quickly walked away. The police, promptly intervening to stop the criminal activity, detained the two, finding the woman in possession of 5 wraps of cocaine and a car key, while the driver was found with 130 euros in various denominations. Furthermore, having reasonable grounds to believe that there could be additional elements related to the facts under investigation, the officers extended their inspection to the vehicle used by the two, where they discovered, hidden under the passenger seat, another 10 wraps of the same drug. For these reasons, the two suspects, a 46-year-old man from Naples with a criminal record, and a 29-year-old woman, also from Naples, were arrested for illegal possession and distribution of narcotics.
