Naples Drug Bust: Police Arrest Man for Possession and Distribution

On Tuesday evening, officers from the San Carlo-Arena Police Station, during their patrol, noticed a man on a scooter handing something over to another individual in exchange for money; the latter then quickly walked away. The police promptly intervened to stop the criminal activity by detaining the suspect, who was found in possession of 5 hashish packets weighing about 14 grams, a wrap containing about 1.7 grams of marijuana, and a mobile phone. Furthermore, having reasonable grounds to believe that there could be additional evidence related to the case, the officers extended their search to the suspect's residence, where they discovered 8 marijuana plants, a solar room with a lamp and ventilator, an electronic scale, a precision balance, a refrigerator, and various materials for drug packaging. For these reasons, the 50-year-old man from Naples was arrested for illegal possession of narcotics; he was also charged with two violations of the Road Code as he was driving with an expired license and with a vehicle that had already been seized.
