Naples Drug Bust: Police Arrest One and Fine Another

On Tuesday evening, officers from the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office, while patrolling the area, noticed a person who, after opening a gate in via Carbonara, was approached by an individual to whom they handed something in exchange for a banknote. The officers, realizing that they were witnessing the commission of a crime, approached and stopped both individuals, finding the suspect in possession of 4 packets of hashish weighing about 8 grams and 100 euros; the buyer, on the other hand, was found in possession of a packet of the same substance. For these reasons, the 26-year-old from Naples, with a police record, was arrested for illegal possession and distribution of narcotics; the buyer, however, was administratively fined for possession of narcotics for personal use.
