Naples Implements Limited Traffic Zone for Tourist Buses

Starting next Monday – March 25 –, on an experimental basis for one year, a limited traffic zone for tourist buses will be in effect in the areas of Historic Center, Posillipo, Toledo – Decumani – Carmine. The measure from the Road Service, Mobility, and Traffic follows the resolutions of the City Council from 2020 and last March 13. Access to the Ztl (limited traffic zone) for vehicles intended for the transport of people with 8 seats in addition to the driver's seat is subject to the payment of a ticket purchasable online after registration on the website https://smartmobility.anm.it. The payment badge must be displayed on the vehicle's windshield. Rates vary depending on the bus size, the European emission standards, and the time slots. Monthly and annual subscriptions and booklets of 50 or 100 entries are also available. In all limited traffic zones and in their vicinity, areas for short and long stays have been identified. Access to the Ztl San Martino will be regulated with a subsequent measure since it is currently not accessible due to the temporary closure to traffic of part of Via Morghen.
