Last night, officers from the San Carlo Arena police station and the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue, while patrolling the area, noticed a person handing over a banknote to the driver of a car and receiving a package in return at Carlo III square. Upon seeing the officers, they attempted to flee in different directions.
Therefore, after a short chase, the officers caught up with the driver on Colonel Lahalle street, finding him in possession of 26 packages containing about 13 grams of cocaine and 65 euros in various denominations.
For these reasons, the 36-year-old Neapolitan man was arrested for illegal possession of narcotics.
