The Metropolitan City of Naples, on behalf of the municipalities of the Naples metropolitan area adhering to the network of unique guarantee committees, and the municipalities of Daunia have received the title of National Capital of We Build Kindness 2024.
The official handover of the recognition - from Novara, to which it was awarded for 2023 - will take place during the inaugural ceremony, scheduled for next Tuesday, January 30, at 9.30 am, in the Chinese room of the Portici Royal Palace.
The municipalities adhering to the network of unique guarantee committees, established by the Metropolitan City of Naples with the aim of promoting the spread of actions in support of organizational well-being, promoting equal opportunities and combating all forms of discrimination, have signed the participation pact for the We Build Kindness project, born to spread kind practices and make them a widespread habit, through the so-called Kindness Builders, social activators (councilors, teachers, coaches, doctors, volunteers, entrepreneurs, who today are about 1,800 throughout Italy), with the aim of increasing the well-being of citizens, using imagination, creativity, imagination and kindness. Hence the candidacy and now the prestigious designation as National Capital of the project.
The program of the ceremony, moderated by the President of the Campania Journalists Order, Ottavio Lucarelli, includes a first part that will see the institutional greetings of Ilaria Abagnale, councilor delegated to school and equal opportunities of the metropolitan city, of Danilo Ercolini, director of the agrarian department of the Federico II University of Naples, of the councilors for sport and equal opportunities, Emanuela Ferrante, and for health and green of the city of Naples, Vincenzo Santagada, and Immacolata Troianiello, president of the council of the Naples Bar Association.

The second part - which will be introduced by the Secretary General of the Metropolitan City of Naples, Antonio Meola - will open with the intervention of Luca Nardi, president of the Cor et Amor association, creator of 'We Build Kindness', who will illustrate, among other things, the role of the national capital.
Subsequently, the symbolic moment of the inaugural ceremony: the councilor for education, equal opportunities and kindness of the city of Novara, Giulia Negri, will transfer the baton of the national capital to the delegated councilor of the Metropolitan City of Naples, Ilaria Abagnale.
Following, the conferment of the recognition of 'Kind Councilor' to Armida Filippelli, councilor for professional training of the Campania region, and the presentation of the initiatives organized by the municipalities and entities adhering to the national capital project of we build kindness.
After the coffee break by the students of the Isabella d'Este Caracciolo hotel institute in Naples, the third and final part will open with the screening of the video message of Maurizio de Giovanni, president of Campania reads - foundation prize Naples, and will continue with the testimonies of good kindness practices: that of Daniela Puzone, councilor for kindness of the municipality of Mugnano di Napoli, who will award the Italian parents association; of Roberta Giova, councilor for kindness of the city of Casoria, with the contribution of the small ambassadors of kindness; of Anna Vitiello, coordinator of the 'We Build Kindness' project, who will present the first kind editorial staff of the Giovanni Pascoli middle school in Torre Annunziata and the artistic panels made by the De Chirico art high school in Torre Annunziata; of Antonella d'Urzo, headmaster of the Giacomo Leopardi ic of Torre Annunziata, institute from which the first appointment to the kindness councilor started; of the kind priest Don Pasquale Paduano.
A video contribution will be screened on the kind murals made in Torre Annunziata and the cultural and food and wine itinerary of the territories of the Naples metropolitan area presented by Anna Cioffi will be presented.
The final greetings of the meeting will be entrusted to Renata Monda, president of the cug of the Metropolitan City of Naples and coordinator of the cug network.
On the occasion of the inaugural ceremony, a purple bench, a symbol of kindness, will also be installed in the orchard of the Portici Royal Palace.
