Naples Officials Visit Woman Injured in Gang Crossfire at Playground

Deputy Mayor Laura Lieto and the Councilor for Legality Antonio De Iesu visited Luisa Mangiapia at the San Paolo hospital, the woman who was injured yesterday during a clash between rival gangs while she was with her daughter in a playground in Fuorigrotta. On behalf of Mayor Gaetano Manfredi and the entire city administration, the two councilors expressed their "closeness to the woman and strong condemnation for the incident that involved a person completely unrelated to the armed raid, exposing to a very serious risk the parents and children who were present in the play area." Deputy Mayor Lieto and Councilor De Iesu wished the woman a "speedy recovery, entrusted to the excellent work of the hospital team that is taking care of her." Furthermore, they confirmed the maximum commitment at all levels of the Administration to help ensure safety for the citizens.
