Naples Police Conduct Special Operation Against Drug and Alcohol-Impaired Driving

Last night, officers from the Naples Road Police Section, personnel from the Naples Police Headquarters Health Office, and the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office conducted an extraordinary service aimed at combating the resurgent phenomenon of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol in the nightlife areas of the Vomero district. During the service, the operators checked 90 people, 50 vehicles, contested 38 violations of the Highway Code, and reported two people for driving under the influence of alcohol, with the simultaneous withdrawal of their driving licenses. On Friday, instead, 77 people were identified, 86 vehicles were checked, 67 violations of the Highway Code were contested, and five vehicles were seized. This activity is not only aimed at ensuring the safety of motorists moving on the roads but also at intensifying legality checks in particularly sensitive matters felt by the community.
