Naples Police Nab Suspect in Drug Handoff Incident

The officers of the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station, during their patrol duty, while passing through vico Gabella della Farina, noticed a person who, after receiving a banknote, handed over a package to someone who quickly walked away. The police officers, promptly intervening, not without difficulty and after a scuffle, managed to stop the suspect, finding him in possession of 2 packets of hashish weighing about 2.5 grams, a pair of scissors, and 65 euros. In those moments, the suspect continued his aggressive behavior by kicking the bumper of the service car and hurling insults at the officers. For these reasons, a 55-year-old man from Naples with a criminal record, was arrested for illegal possession of narcotics, insult, injury and resistance to a Public Official, aggravated damage, and carrying weapons or objects intended to offend.
