Three days of motorsport spectacle will ignite passion on the Caracciolo Promenade with the Naples Racing Show: the city is getting ready to welcome, from April 12th to 14th, the Trophy City of Naples-Grand Prix of Naples.
The event brings back to the city the passion for motorsport competitions with the aim of returning to the glories of the Sixties, when the Posillipo grand prix was the only competition in the world that, for glamour and notoriety, could compete with the Montecarlo gp.
The entire area will be the theater of various activities and many initiatives, with the public being able to actively experience both the vibrations of the competitions against the clock with direct duels on the Arena of Via Caracciolo, and experiencing the challenge inside the paddock. Then, the parades of prestigious and exclusive historic cars, vehicles that have accompanied the evolution of customs and sport in history. A long weekend dedicated to cars, framed in a series of activities dedicated to sustainable and safe mobility.
The circuit, about 1290 meters long, extends along the pedestrian promenade of Via Caracciolo, becoming the arena of the races for the entire weekend. The stands will offer a privileged view of the races and exhibitions, while the paddock near the course will allow spectators to experience the action in the boxes during the competitions. Competing in a one against one format, will be vehicles of various categories and the queen cars of the Rally. Among the most prominent brands expected are: Aston Martin, Audi, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Ligier, Porsche and Osella, with names of expert champions. Qualifying rounds, semifinals, and finals are planned.
The Opening
On Friday, April 12th, the opening of the event will occur with the closure to traffic of the promenade area at 6 in the morning, followed by the sports checks of the vehicles admitted to the competition and the elegance contest "Naples noble" from 9 to 13. The mayor and authorities will inaugurate Piazza Mennato Boffa at 11, an appointment followed by a parade of the vintage and competition vehicles that will participate in the events of the Naples Racing show. The promenade village will officially open at 12 and will remain accessible until 22, with exhibitions and test drives during the day and evening.
On Saturday, April 13th, the day will begin with the circuit races of the Trophy City of Naples from 8 to 14, followed by the selections of the elegance contest and the exhibitions on the track. At 18:30, at the tennis club, there will be a conference on the future of mobility and automotive technologies, involving local and national authorities. The activities will continue until 22, with exhibitions, races, and drone shows on the promenade. Sunday will be dedicated to the trophy finals, with circuit races and exhibitions of historic and Formula cars.
The village will remain open from 10 to 20, with various activities underway, including exhibitions of the latest generation of electric vehicles. The day will culminate with the awards and the closing ceremony at 20. With a combination of competition, elegance, and entertainment, the first Naples motor show promises to be an unmissable event for car and racing enthusiasts, revitalizing the motorsport tradition of the Neapolitan city.
