In Naples, there is a war on illegal parking attendants whose rates are two euros per hour in the more popular neighborhoods, and even 15-20 euros in places of major tourist interest and during important sports or music events.
As part of a series of checks also prompted by instructions from the prefect of Naples Michele Di Bari, since the beginning of the year, the financial police of the provincial command of Naples have issued 47 notifications: 29 to the prefecture while the remaining 18 have been reported to the judicial authority.
The envisaged penalties include a monetary fine ranging from 769 to 3,095 euros but, in case of repeated violations, the illegal parking attendant is reported. For him, arrest and a fine ranging from 2,000 to 7,000 euros are foreseen.
