National Prevention Plan 2020-2025: Targeting Health Inequalities and Workplace Safety

The National Prevention Plan (Pnp) 2020-2025 aims to counteract health inequalities through actions aimed at maintaining well-being at every stage of life and in every area, including, for example, workplaces. In this perspective, the targeted prevention plan (Predefined Program PP06 of the Pnp) represents the tool capable of organizing assistance and supervision activities for companies, to ensure transparency, equity, and uniformity of public action and better awareness by employers and workers of the risks and consequences due to non-compliance with safety regulations. In this broad perimeter are placed the thematic plans, including those of the predefined program PP08 of the Pnp, that is, actions concerning the prevention of pathologies from biomechanical overload and pathologies related to exposure to occupational carcinogens. The Local Health Authority of Caserta, led by Dr. Amedeo Blasotti, with the staff of the Prevention Department of the Local Health Authority, directed by Dr. Giancarlo Ricciardelli, has scheduled mandatory training courses for the year 2024 for prevention activities on the risks and consequences due to non-compliance with safety regulations in the workplace. The scientific direction of the programs is entrusted to Dr. Sara Fusco, Asl Caserta's referent for the PP06 line, and Dr. Paolino Petillo, Asl Caserta's referent for the PP08 line, while the scientific secretariat will be handled by Dr. Leonilde Pezone, referent of the working group of the PP06 line, Dr. Rosa Orabona, referent of the working group of the PP08 line, and the professional nurse Concetta Petruolo. The courses are aimed at the surveillance services staff of the Asl, competent occupational doctors, general medicine doctors, prevention and protection service managers of the companies in the territory, workers' safety representatives, and stakeholders.
