Navigating Level Crossing Issues in Benevento

Regarding the issues of closing level crossings on Rfi routes within the city of Benevento, the Head of Infrastructure and Transport of Lega Salvini Premier, Cosimo Cairella, made the following statement: "Thanks to Luigi Barone's constant commitment to the territory, we, as a party, follow the issues that affect our communities. As for the level crossing on via Valfortore, the only one impacting the high-speed Naples-Bari line, the service conference concluded positively with the indication to study separately the junction in the industrial area; of course, a parallel will be made concerning the implementation of the works. Regarding the level crossing in contrada Pietà, on the Rfi Benevento-Avellino railway line, we understand the concerns of residents and committees, so we are available to delve into regulatory aspects. We will propose to Rete Ferroviaria Italiana, since the service conference is still open and the line is secondary, the installation of Pai-Pl safety technology (integrative automatic protection of level crossings) to avoid closure with a substitute structure. We hope that this proposal will also be shared by the Municipality of Benevento in the service conference," he concludes.
