This morning, the new Chief of Police of Avellino, Pasquale Picone, took office. Originally from Irpinia, he returns to his homeland where he was in service until ten years ago, as Chief of Staff, head of the Digos, of the Upg and in charge of the Ariano and Lauro police stations.
He comes from the Salerno Police Headquarters, where he performed the functions of Deputy. "Here in Avellino it is a new beginning - he emphasizes - I will respond to the request of every single citizen. I will be the chief of everyone and I will commit myself to increasing the perception of safety in this territory".
At the opening of the meeting with the media, Chief Picone gave his first thought to the worker who died in an accident at work at the Stellantis plant in Pratola Serra.
A new beginning, therefore, for the Avellino Police Headquarters. The imprint of Dr. Picone was immediately noticed. A strong call to the functions of the Police and to the image of the same towards the citizens.
