In Fuorigrotta a street bench recently installed has been immediately vandalized and covered with a spray-painted homophobic phrase.
It is the owner of the same company tasked with the installation of the urban furniture who spreads the news, addressing the deputy of the Green-Left alliance Francesco Emilio Borrelli:
«We have a factory of urban furniture in the province of Naples and we have furnished with our benches and planters Trieste and Trento square and the space next to the glorious San Carlo theater. We are proud of our work, and our products, and when I see our things on the streets of our city, I am proud. We are making a large supply of benches to Fuorigrotta, Leopardi area. The photo they sent me broke my heart. Some subjects with a spray can and with horrible phrases ruin a job done, and make a financial effort for the municipal administration vain and take away the beauty of a neighborhood from the good citizens».
The vandalized bench is located in Sebastiano Veniero street and the X municipality immediately notified has immediately intervened.
«Uncivil and squalid. We hope that at least they can realize and repent of their squalid act and come forward to erase that mess. It would be even more important to erase certain thoughts from the minds of these people. In Naples unfortunately there are those who do and those who undo. The latter are becoming more and more a problem for our city, a problem that is becoming more and more dramatic », the comment of Borrelli.
