The State Police of Caserta have arrested a 32-year-old Nigerian citizen, wanted by the German judicial authority for sexual violence.
This is the second arrest, within a few days, for the same reasons, by the Immigration Office of the Caserta Police Headquarters, which continues administrative and security police activities. Last week, the police arrested a Nigerian for sexual violence that occurred in Germany in 2023, who was also found in possession of a "machete".
On the occasion of the second arrest, the police verified the false personal details provided by another man, applying for a residence permit for international protection, which allowed to connect the real identity of the person to a "wanted" for sexual violence, occurred in January 2022 in a public park in Berlin.
The person was arrested and associated with the S. Maria Capua Vetere Prison, at the disposal of the Naples Court of Appeal, for the procedures related to extradition and delivery to the German authorities.
