Nighttime Scuffle Leads to Arrest in Naples

During the night of yesterday, officers from the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office, while patrolling the area, noticed a fight between two people while passing through Ponte di Casanova street. The police promptly intervened to separate the two individuals, but one of them, upon seeing them, hit the officers with kicks and punches until, not without difficulty and after a struggle, he was restrained and found in possession of a wallet. The other man then told the officers that, shortly before, he had been approached by the assailant who, after attacking him, had taken his wallet. Therefore, a 27-year-old Canadian with a criminal record, including specific charges, was arrested for robbery, resisting a public official, and personal injury.
