Excellent results for Volotea, the low-cost airline for small and medium-sized European cities, in 2023 at the Naples - Capodichino airport. The carrier closes the year positively, with a total offer of over 580 thousand seats for sale, with a growth of 18% compared to 2022.
During the just concluded year, Volotea operated from Naples more than 3,300 flights (+16% vs 2022), locally transporting over 545 thousand passengers, with a growth of 16% compared to 2022 and thanks to a wide range of routes: there are 22 operated from the Campania capital, of which a good 8 are exclusive. The load factor, at 93%, is a very positive achievement.
Excellent performances for Volotea also in terms of quality standards, which the airline maintains with particular commitment always at the highest levels. In fact, in 2023 in Naples, the carrier recorded a percentage value of successfully operated flights - completion factor - equal to 99%.

The excellent results we achieved in 2023 confirm the goodness of our choices to focus on the Neapolitan territory, both through the offer of flights to and from Capodichino, as well as through partnerships with the territory, among which we remember the most recent, the sponsorship to the National Archaeological Museum of Naples for the renovation of the access area. Naples will continue to represent a focal point of our business in 2024; in fact, there are 3 new routes planned for this year, Athens, Lyon and Split, with an increase in seats for sale of 4% compared to the just concluded year".
Volotea closes its 2023 in Italy, with a total offer of almost 4 million seats for sale and over 3.5 million passengers transported. With almost 23,000 flights and 160 routes, the company recorded a flight occupancy rate of 92%, with a fleet of 11 aircraft, employing about 400 employees.
In 2024, Volotea will increase its capacity in Italy by 16%, with 4.5 million seats offered. The opening of new routes and its eighth Italian base in Bari, operational from next summer, confirms the company's willingness to continue investing in the local economy, with the aim of reaching 440 jobs in the Italian market.
