Over 12,000 liters of suspected adulterated diesel have been seized by the financial police of the Provincial Command of Caserta and by the officials of the Customs and Monopolies Agency of the Territorial Directorate IX Campania at the end of checks carried out in various road fuel distribution plants in Caserta.
Three people were reported.
Checks carried out as part of the general intensification of the surveillance action aimed at protecting free market competition, advertising on fuel prices and the quality of petroleum products placed on the market.
The controlled distributors were selected after a targeted analysis and in-depth study aimed at intercepting the subjects at the highest risk of fraud; chemical screenings were also carried out thanks to a specially equipped mobile laboratory of the Customs and Monopolies Agency. In particular, the adulterated diesel was discovered in three distributors, whose owners were reported.
