Paolo Crepet on stage at the Belvedere of San Leucio, in Caserta, on Thursday 27 June at 9 pm, with «Take the Moon». The Italian sociologist, writer, psychiatrist and commentator presents his acclaimed show at the ninth edition of «A Summer from BelvedeRE», the festival directed by Massimo Vecchione and organized by Lwr S.r.l. with the artistic supervision of Vincenzo Berti and Gianluca Bonanno for Ventidieci, in partnership with the Municipality of Caserta.
The conference/show «Take the Moon» - an exhortation to dream, to be ambitious and seek one's uniqueness, even in the face of difficulties and disorientation - comes after the publication of the eponymous book that Crepet wrote out of necessity and the desire to question what we take for granted about our present and to build the future together.
Paolo Crepet states: «I meet many people, I wonder what they can want from me. Certainly a guide, a hope, perhaps even a light that lights up the hearts of young and old. There is thirst and hunger for words, for thought. They seek heresy in a codified world. I can only tell them what I have been repeating to myself for years along the course of my life: «take the moon». Be ambitious, seek your uniqueness. You have to hold your head high and keep dreaming. The danger is in the calm of emotions, in resignation, it is in those who sow sloth and disorientation as if it were the rule of the most updated marketing of existence. Opposing all this is my desire, my mission, the reason why I continue to wander in squares and theaters. I seek freedom, passion, courage. The rest is boredom».
The show of Paolo Crepet in Caserta adds to the program of the ninth edition of the festival «A Summer from BelvedeRE» which has already announced the concerts of Nayt (June 18), Fulminacci (July 20) and Nick Mason (July 23) at the Belvedere of San Leucio. Gigi D'Alessio, on the other hand, will be the protagonist of five evenings on 6, 7, 8, 14 and 15 September in Piazza Carlo di Borbone, in the suggestive setting of the Reggia di Caserta.
