From Friday, February 9, in the Al Blu di Prussia gallery (via Gaetano Filangieri, Naples), there is 'Drama': the personal exhibition of the photographer Cesare Accetta who returns to exhibit in the city after eight years. Curated by Maria Savarese, the exhibition consists of four large color photographs, taken outdoors, set up in the access space. Then fifteen black and white portraits, made in the studio, along with a video projected on the back wall that counterbalances another in the cinema room.
Both cycles of works date back a few years: the first were executed in 2020 during a residency at Punta della Campanella, near Massa Lubrense, on the Sorrento Coast; the others, however, started and finished between 2018 and 2023.
'Drama', writes the curator Maria Savarese in the accompanying text to the exhibition, 'can be considered as a further chapter of a catalog started with 'In light' eight years ago and dedicated to the human in the infinite variety of traits and attitudes, where once again it is the author's relationship with light, and therefore with vision, the only guide of the application dedicated to the object, that is the body, exposed or not to it.'
