Three young men fled in a rental car, but were stopped after a chase. Then, during the police check, they threatened the officers. A 25-year-old from Naples, a 22-year-old from the province of Salerno and a 23-year-old of Moldovan nationality, all with previous records and residents in Agro-nocerino-sarnese, were reported. They were ready to commit thefts. The events took place in Lioni, in Alta Irpinia. The three were identified in a car and, considering their obvious suspicious behavior, the police officers of the Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi Police Station ordered them to stop. The driver, however, fled with a sudden maneuver and a strong acceleration, ending after a chase, thanks to the timely response of the officers.
During the identification, the three did not provide plausible explanations about their presence in the Irpinia area and showing considerable intolerance to the imposed control, they threatened the officers, refusing to show their identification documents. Taken to the police station, at the end of the routine checks, they were reported in a state of freedom and the procedure for issuing the mandatory expulsion order was started against them.
Moreover, the driver of the car was reported for driving without a license, as it was never obtained, with the additional penalty for the administrative stop of the vehicle. Another administrative infraction, for an amount of 6000 euros, was raised against the owner of the car, owner of a rental company, for careless entrustment.
