Police Clamp Down on Helmetless Riders in Arzano

Helmetless riders, driving without a license, and expired insurance: over forty vehicles have been impounded by the local police in Arzano, in the Naples area, during a series of territorial checks. 'Despite the significant effort for environmental protection to prevent fires and waste abandonment,' reads a statement, 'the officers, led by Colonel Biagio Chiariello, have combed through the territory for several days, identifying and sanctioning undisciplined road users.' Road safety and compliance with traffic laws were the goals, and approximately 40 vehicles, including 17 motorcycles, were impounded. Violations include driving without a helmet, without insurance, expired inspections, driving with a cell phone, and illegal parking. The tally is 7 licenses revoked, 200 fines issued, and over 30,000 euros in penalties. Three individuals have been reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office as they were driving vehicles already under seizure, and the vehicles will be confiscated.
