Procida Bar Suspended for Public Disturbance

The Police Commissioner of Naples, upon proposal of the Procida Carabinieri Station, has ordered a 5-day suspension of the food and beverage service to the public for a bar in Procida. Specifically, on the night of last January 14, the military had intervened at the commercial establishment following a report of disturbance to public peace, indeed, upon arrival, they had confirmed the presence of loud music and, as had already occurred on previous occasions, the Sole Administrator of the activity had been administratively sanctioned. Furthermore, in 2018 and in 2022, two violent brawls had occurred between groups of young people, one of which had also involved the owner of the establishment, during which bars, bottles, chairs, and further objects were used. Moreover, in August 2022, the Carabinieri of the Procida Station and the soldiers of the Carabinieri Labor Inspectorate Unit of Naples had found the presence of an irregular worker and therefore, the owner was reported to the Judicial Authority and also sanctioned for additional administrative offenses. Also, in July and September of 2015, the owner of the premises had been reported for non-compliance with the Mayor of Procida's Ordinance. The measure, executed this morning, is therefore aimed at averting a concrete danger to public order and the safety of citizens.
