Promoting Legal Awareness among Students: Carabinieri's Educational Initiatives

In recent days, the Carabinieri of the San Bartolomeo in Galdo company met with students and teachers from the schools of San Marco dei Cavoti and Baselice as part of meetings promoted to spread the culture of legality. Lieutenant Antonio Polito, commander of the San Marco station, was welcomed at the municipal auditorium by many young people and teachers from the secondary school of the local comprehensive state institute, in the presence of the school representative, Professor Carmen Pugliese, representing the headteacher Maria Cirocco. The students showed particular interest in the pages and social profiles of the Carabinieri and followed attentively an illustrative video of the activities that the Carabinieri are called to perform every day. There was also participation in the focus centered on the themes of legality in general and, specifically, on bullying, cyberbullying, and gender violence. Marshal Francesco Pio Tomaiuolo, commander of the Baselice station, also met with students from the secondary school of first and second grade of the local comprehensive state school 'Enrico Medi' together with the responsible teachers, Professors Vera Forte and Incoronata Cilenti, always representing the headteacher Maria Cirocco. At the center of the discussion were crimes committed by minors, drug trafficking and use, gender violence, and legality in general. Meanwhile, the provincial command of the Carabinieri consolidates its presence in all meetings with schools of every level and grade in the province, useful for spreading the culture of legality among the new generations.
