A Rai operator, 52-year-old Pino Cannavale, died last night in Porto Cesareo, in the province of Lecce, struck by an illness while he was jogging.
The man, originally from Vico Equense, was in Salento for the live broadcast of the holy mass that Rai broadcasts every Sunday from different locations, and which was celebrated yesterday morning in the mother church of Guagnano.
The alarm was raised after the body was found, in the Scalo di Furno area, by some passers-by. The attempts of the 118 health operators to resuscitate him were useless. The body, after an external examination by the forensic doctor, was returned to the family.
