The renovation and upgrading works of the municipal sports field in Capaccio Paestum, located in Gromola, "Salvatore Apadula" were delivered on Monday, January 29. The cost of the works amounts to about 222 thousand euros. The intervention mainly consists in the renovation and restructuring of the changing room block. The waterproofing of the roof, the replacement of windows and doors, the overhaul of the water and electrical systems are planned. The supply of new furniture is also scheduled for the new changing rooms. As for the playing field, the works consist in the arrangement and reconfiguration of the slopes, in the safety of the spectators' stand and the fence.
"After the renovation of the sports field in Capaccio Capoluogo, soon the municipal sports field in Gromola will also be fully upgraded - says Mayor Franco Alfieri - We deliver a new sports facility to the city aware of the importance of having adequate facilities for physical activity throughout the territory, especially for young people. Sport is necessary for the benefits, in terms of health and prevention, that it is able to bring to people, but it also has a strong educational and social value that our administration, since its establishment, tends to favor".
