The Arcos Museum on Stefano Borgia street in Benevento has reopened to the public. The entrance to the museum, which is located in the basement of the Prefecture and houses the Egyptian Section and the artifacts of the Temple of Isis from the Roman Imperial era and the Contemporary Art Section, had been closed since last February 5th for safety reasons: it was indeed deemed necessary to install a temporary cover at the entrance, to prevent the risk of falling debris.
Now, having completed such works to protect public access on the street level of the west side of the Prefecture building, the Heritage sector and the administrative direction of the Museum Network of the Province have given the green light to visits. Meanwhile, a good part of Borgia street remains closed to traffic, cordoned off precisely after the detachment of plaster from the cornices of the building, while the last stretch of Annunziata street is closed to car parking.
